- Does Rockvale cater for the disabled?
- We welcome disabled guests, however we have no ground floor guest
rooms and there is no lift.
- Help is always available with carrying bags.
- Does Rockvale accept children?
- There is one family room which can sleep up to 4 people, and another that can
sleep 3 and has room for a cot, some of our double rooms can
accommodate a cot.
- If staying in their parents room, children between 4 and 14 are charged
a reduced rate (please see the prices page), those under 4
are free, please ask for a travel cot if necessary.
- If children require their own room they will be charged at the normal
adult rate.
- Are young children welcome in the dining room?
- Yes provided they are well supervised, and not allowed to run around,
please ask for a high chair if necessary.
- Are vegetarians catered for?
- Yes but if you have more special dietary requirements (coeliac, vegan etc.)
we will normally need 24 hours notice,
though we will endeavour to help on shorter notice if we can,
please notify us at the time of making your booking.
- Are special dietary requirements catered for?
- Yes there will always be a vegetarian option available for all meals,
however if you have more specific requirements (coeliac, vegan etc.) we will

- How do I order breakfast?
- Please order your breakfast the night before
by completing the order sheets provided in your room (one per person)
and leaving them on the hall table before retiring.
- How do I order an evening meal?
- Evening meals are normally ordered at breakfast;
on day of arrival, please
phone us before 3pm if you require a meal for that day.
- Can we telephone from Rockvale?

- All rooms have telephones, costs are raesonable, see the prices page
and also the documentation in your room.
- Do mobile phones work at Rockvale?

- It depends on the network, some work very well others are unreliable,
however all rooms have telephones from which calls can be made at
reasonable cost, see the prices page.
- Are there single rooms available?
- We have one single room which is not en-suite, You may use a
double room if you require the extra space or the en-suite
facilities, if you do this you will be charged a supplement.
- Are bookings for a single night available?
- We welcome bookings for any period.
- Are bookings for a full week available?
- We welcome bookings for any period. If booking for more than 3 days a
discount is available, please see the prices page.
- When can I arrive?
- Rooms are available from 3pm, though you may leave luggage here
earlier if required.
- When must I leave?
- Rooms should normally be vacated by 10:30am on your day of departure; if you require,
luggage may be left with the staff and collected later. If you need to stay
later, staying until 12:00 midday can be accommodated but will incur a surcharge,
staying beyond that time is only possible if the room has not been booked out
to someone else, and will incur a charge equivalent to an extra full day.
- Are there any restrictions on when the rooms may be used?
- Apart from the days of arrival and departure there are no restriction on
when you can use your room, please note that we normally clean rooms
between 10:30am and 3pm. If you are using the rooms between these time and do not
wish to be disturbed please hang the 'Please Do Not Service My Room Today'
sign on your door handle. The sign may be found in your room's information
pack, your room will then NOT be serviced that day, if you run out of any
drinks supplies please contact a member of staff.
- How do I contact a member of staff?
- Please ring the bell in the hall.

- Yes, details are on the breakfast sheet.
